Solana Beach Mauritius

Two weeks ago Shawn, Zee, and I spent nine amazing days at Solana Beach Mauritius. And we’d gladly return as soon as possible. Service was excellent right from arrival – we received a warm welcome, and cool facecloths.

We had a lovely ground floor room, which was always clean and neat. The room is practically ON the beach – so awesome! ๐Ÿ˜€

There’s loads to do at the beach. Free activities like snorkeling, pedal boats, paddle surfing, glass bottom boat were all fun.

There’s also parasailing, under sea walks, and other activities available as soon as you step out the door.

Mini Club at Solana is fun, and safe. You know your little human is in great hands when you hit the spa (which by the way is wonderful!), or relax by the pool with a cocktail. Zee was only there a few times, but she loved it. The ladies – Beatrice, Gaeline, and the third lady whose name I sadly cannot remember are fantastic with kids.ย Zee was so happy when the two ladies came to say goodbye and give her a little gift on our last day there. ๐Ÿ™‚

There was a different theme every night at Cinnamone restaurant, and the food was always yum. We also opted for the lobster evening at Pomelo restaurant twice, and it was incredible – so much deliciousness! Drinks and service at the Indigo bar were excellent (I wouldn’t mind a Solana Colada right now).

Some names I remember are Kiran, Seema, Elodie, Soomeer, Emmanuel, and Suzie, but everyone who helped us with food and drinks was lovely. The managers like Sunny, Bobby, and Eric were always friendly and helpful, and were awesome with our little girl.

We really enjoyed the different entertainment each night – traditional Sega dancers, a cultural show, singers and musicians. The Sega dancers were there the same evening we bought Zee’s cute little Sega outfit, and she had a blast dancing with them in it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Solana is beautiful. I really like that it isn’t huge, and that everyone is so friendly AND efficient. It definitely played a huge part in how immensely we enjoyed this holiday.

Unlike Paris or New York, Mauritius hadn’t originally been on my longtime list of places I absolutely had to visit, and it was the same with Shawn. Now that we’ve been though, there’s no way we won’t be back! ๐Ÿ™‚

      Thank you! ?
I’m sorry to hear the April holiday didn’t work out, but if you do plan again, I’d be glad to recommend some of the fun things we did there. This resort is a great option for those of us with kids, due to its size (easier to always know where they are), and also the affordability compared to many others.

Mauritius really surprised me, in the best way. I’m so glad I decided to book. You’d love it too, I’m sure. ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh my gosh, that sounds like heaven. My husband would dive right into those lobsters. I love how the kids club ladies were so sweet and brought Zee a present on your last day, that was so thoughtful. Shows they go the extra mile. You certainly wouldn’t get that in a Kids Club in the Canary Islands I tell you. My favourite part of your post is the family selfie photo. It’s brilliant. Mauritius is actually somewhere I’ve always wanted to go, if only for the exotic name, but reading your post, I know it will live up to it’s name. Thanks for linking up again! #wanderlustkids
