It was announced today on starwars.com that the upcoming film’s official title is Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
There’s just something about it, you guys. I love it.
Seeing Mark Hamill at the end of The Force Awakens was such a moment! And then in the first teaser trailer we were given a few more seconds of Luke Skywalker… ok, the same few seconds, just from his view this time, but still! (you can find me freaking out over this here đ )
And now the title seems to hint at the character playing quite a significant role in the next film – perhaps as The Last Jedi?… or perhaps as the one who trains Rey?… or maybe there’s already a small group of young Jedi he’s been training?… So many theories running around in my already exhausted minds (its been one of those days… my mind and body are feeling the effects of having no helper for almost four months). Why, oh why do we have to wait so long? đ
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is scheduled for release 15 December 2017.
