We finally made it to YouTube!

I see now that my post title may be a little misleading. Allow me to explain – you see, we weren’t totally stuck in the dark ages all this time. I mean we’re always on YouTube, watching tutorials or unboxing of toys, or old Barbie Life In The Dreamhouse episodes… but today we posted our first video – YAY! 😀

Zee has been bugging me to do this for the longest time (because you know, moms don’t have seventy five thousand other things to do), and this time I finally gave in. I, well actually Zee received a My Little Pony gift bag yesterday, with an amazing Rarity Fashion Runway play set. She was thrilled! She literally jumped up and down, and squealed with delight! Having been a My Little Pony fan since I was as little as she is now, I was doing the same… but just on the inside. 😉

YouTube - MLP

Of course, this new toy meant the “mommy can we film a video for YouTube pleeeeeeease” routine started again. So today, I decided I’d give my favourite word (No) a break, and say Yes to this little person instead.

YouTube ZeeMy YouTube skills obviously have a long way to go, but I think it came out pretty decent. And now, instead of me boring you, here’s Zee telling you all about her fab new toy. If you (or your little people) enjoy the video, please give it a like, or subscribe to the channel, or share, or all of that. I’m sure it will absolutely make her day. 🙂

Zeeview | Sanex Dermo Kids

Zeeview - Sanex

Today Zee is letting us know what she thinks of this beauty. No, not the Panda & Frost mermaid – she’s gorgeous, but that’s for another post. 🙂 Today, we’re talking about Sanex Dermo Kids Bodywash & Foam Bath.

This is what Sanex claims about the product:

Specially developed for children and approved by paediatricians, this hypoallergenic bodywash and foam bath has been formulated to gently clean without drying your child’s delicate skin. Suitable for head to toe wash.

Here are Zee’s thoughts on the product:

1. What do you think of the bottle?

I like how kids is written on the bottle in bright colours. It makes the bottle look really pretty.

2. How does it smell?

It smells like candy. It really does. Mmmm…

3. How does it feel on your skin?

It feels so gentle, and soft, and lovely on my skin.

4. How does your skin feel after bath time?

When I touch my skin it feels really soft and smooth. I feel refreshed and super clean!

5. Would you like to tell your friends about this body wash?

Yes I would. And I’d tell them because after my bath I feel so fresh and I think maybe they would like to feel fresh too. And I think they would love how sweet it smells.

6. Would you like mommy to buy this for you again?

YES!!!

7. How many smiley faces do you give Sanex Dermo Kids Bodywash & Foam Bath?

Ten thousand and two. 😀😂

8. Okay, but out of five, how many smiley faces would you give it?

Five out of five!

So there you have it moms, one Zee-approved kids bodywash/foam bath you definitely want to get your hands on next time you’re out toiletries shopping.

Mom verdict: I’m really happy with this product. Only a very small amount of the bodywash is required to get my little person super clean, as she put it. It’s gentle on her skin, forms a lovely lather, and smells amazing (I actually love the scent). I’ll be heading out for more.

Sanex Dermo Kids Bodywash & Foam Bath (500ml) retails for +/-R56,00 (Clicks/Dischem)

Rand Show 2017

Rand Show - Danone

The last time Shawn and I went to the Rand Show was in 2004. It was a few months after we got married, and a few years before we had a Zee of our own. This year we decided to take our little person to the show.

There’s actually so much for kids to do there, and Zee had a great time. And so did we. 🙂

Science and Technology

We ended up spending quite a bit of time in the Science and Tech hall. Zee had lots of fun with the other little people at the Nutty Scientists stand. They sat listening to Professor Fun, screaming loudly when she asked them to, and eagerly volunteering to be part of the fun experiments. Then they’d run to their tables with the other professors, to try the experiments in smaller groups.

Inside The Colours Of The Stars dome, everyone lies on their backs, to watch a projection show about the stars. Zee said “it was so cool!”

Danone Frozen Bar

The Danone Frozen Bar was a huge hit with the kids – I say this, because of the excited giggles and shrieks, which made it hard for adults to hear themselves think.. haha!

There’s a huge snow globe, a snow slope, a snow patch, an ice castle, and sparkly fro-yo… the giggles and shrieks were inevitable.

An SABC TV crew also arrived in there a few minutes after we did, and one of the ladies asked if they could interview Zee about Danone Frozen Bar. She was happy to do it. So look out world… a celebrity is born! 😀

Lifestyle/DIY

Shawn – with Zee as assistant, and me as cheerleader – made a really cool decoupage tray during a class by Tersia at Bee Artsy. He asked me to choose the colour and pattern, so of course it’s minimalistic with a Paris touch, because that’s how I roll.

The Filthy Moustache

Before we could do anything else, we had to feed our bellies. We ended up at the food truck which had grabbed my attention on our way in that morning, because of its name – The Filthy Moustache!

And man were we happy with our choice! Their food (even though it may not look fabulous in my pic) is so YUMMY!! We tried the Manometer burger, and a hot dog, and neither disappointed.

I don’t know if I should say it… alright, I’m going to… the Manometer is one of THE best burgers I’ve eaten! Shawn says it took him back to an outstanding burger we ate in Germany a few years ago (can you tell, from the fond food memories, that we love good food? 😋), and I agree.

The Rand Show makes for a great day out with the family. It ends on Sunday evening (23 April), which means you can still catch it if you haven’t yet.
