I’m just going to put it out there – I had Botox done, and it was just the lift I needed!

No, not that Botox… Let’s hope there’s no need for that anytime in the foreseeable future (on that note, note to self: remember to moisturize, use sunscreen, and drink loads of water everyday ?).

This Botox was on my hair. Last Sunday I was invited to try out INOAR‘s Botox for hair, G.Hair B-Tox.

INOAR Professional is a hair treatment research and manufacturing company that distributes globally and is one of  the largest hair treatment companies  in the world. The company was founded by Ino Manoel in the year 2000. With an outstanding range of in-salon treatments and after care, INOAR has a product for every hair type.

In case you’re wondering what hair Botox is, here’s a little information about the product:

G.Hair B-Tox is designed as a quick and instant fix for damaged hair. It contains Wheat Germ oil, Argan oil, Shea Butter, Hydrolyzed Keratin, and Grape Extract. The treatment is rich in Vitamins A, C, and E, as well as antioxidants, all of which protect your hair from the harmful stuff. It can be done as a stand-alone treatment after colour, or as a booster in between Brazilian treatments.

I arrived for my appointment at the very busy (yes, even on a Sunday; testament to how amazing these ladies are) Sorbet Drybar Dunkeld about 10 minutes early. I only waited a short while before I was helped by Loveth. First, she washed and then towel-dried my hair. Next, she applied the G.Hair B-Tox mask to my hair. She combed it through, ensuring that the product was evenly applied to all the hair. Then she wrapped my hair in cling wrap (quite a fab look ?), and informed me that we’d have to wait 30 minutes. I relaxed with a cup of coffee, while waiting for the Botox to work it’s magic.

Something I was very impressed with by this point was how gentle the treatment was on my usually sensitive scalp (and on my extremely sensitive nose haha) – there was no burning or itching, and there was no strong smell. Most hair treatments come with all 3 nasties, so I was very happy with this one.

Once our 30 minutes was up, Loveth rinsed the mask off, and treated me to the most wonderful head massage (easy to see why her name starts with Love!). Once my massage was done, and before I could doze off, it was time for the big reveal – would my hair look and feel as promised? Loveth blow dried my hair, and styled it with round brushes at the ends. Once she was done, I couldn’t help but smile. My (naturally curly, and sometimes dry) hair looked shiny and really pretty, and it felt soft and light. Lifeless and dull hair revived in 30 minutes? Check! 🙂

The results of the treatment can last for 4 weeks, so I’m looking forward to seeing how mine holds up. I’m really impressed with it so far. It’s been 9 days, and my hair really feels strong and healthy.
