3 Quotes in 3 Days: Day 3

It’s the last day of the quote challenge, and I’ve really enjoyed it. The quote I chose for today isn’t from a book like the previous two. It’s one I saw on Facebook of all places, a year or two ago, and I’ve had it saved on my phone since. Here it is:

Time has never flown by as quickly, as it has since I became a mom. Zee was born just the other day; a tiny, toothless person whose diaper I didn’t even know how to change that first day. Only it wasn’t just the other day, it was nearly six whole years ago. Most moms can relate, which is why this quote leaves us a little teary eyed everytime.

Children are a gift from God, precious and innocent lives we’re entrusted with. Thinking of it like that, wouldn’t you want to give them nothing but your best – to spend as much time as you can with them, to really listen to all they have  say, to play and be a little silly with them until they’re laughing those deep belly laughs? Whilst challenging at times, it really is by far the most rewarding job (privilege) in the world.

3 Quotes In 3 Days: Day 2

After a very busy day, I’m getting to this really late, so I’m going straight to my quote for today:

This is a fun one, which I’ve loved for the longest time. I don’t have anything too deep to add, except to say that I do agree with Alice – a little bit of crazy really does make for the best person. 🙂

Here are the rules again:

1. Post 3 of your favorite quotes, for 3 recurrent days. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.

2. Nominate 3 bloggers with each post to challenge them.

3. Don’t forget to give a shout out to the person who nominated you. (Thank you Tehzeeb for nominating me 🙂 )

I nominate:

1. Abieda from Crazy Mom Journal
2. Tammy from Painting In Pink
3. Megan from Beauty And The Baby Blog

3 Quotes in 3 Days: Day 1

I was nominated by the lovely Tehzeeb over at The Tezzy Files to participate in this really fun challenge. As my post title suggests, I need to post 3 quotes on the blog in 3 days.

Here’s my first quote:

This quote comes from the 1978 children’s book, “I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!” and is as powerful today as it was 37 years ago. The book, and this quote in particular emphasizes the importance of reading, while showing how fun it can be too. Reading expands and enriches minds, and the more we read, the more knowledge we acquire.

I’ve always loved reading, and it gives me such joy when Zee asks for books. Now I understand why my dad loved talking about how his 5 year old would run straight to the book aisle when we went shopping. I hope my little person’s love of reading continues growing and never ends.

Now for the rules:

1.  Post 3 of your favorite quotes, for 3 recurrent days. The quotes can be of any other people or it may come straight from your own heart.

2.  Nominate 3 bloggers with each post to challenge them.

3.  Don’t forget to give a shout out to the person who nominated you.

I nominate:

1.  Leana from Hipstyler, Pretty & Ginger

2.  Verushka from Spice Goddess

3.  Namreen from Life and Times of the Fireflies
